Queen is one of my top 3 all time favorites..... I mean, they are in my heart, in my blood, and in my very soul. They were the first band that made me a FAN. meaning fanatic. I saved my allowance every week to buy another Queen tape (yes, tape) until I had the whole collection. Freddie's voice is like Lennon's for me in the way that it grounds me and soothes me and takes away all the insanity, leaving only the truth. I am listening right now to a bunch of Queen songs I haven't heard in a long time...... and I guess I just felt compelled to profess my love for them. Man, what a band.

Well, I can't believe it is time for the holidays already. Time really does fly as you get older, doesn't it? Maybe its just as we get busier and as we get older, we get busier. I don't know. I can't believe that I released "Sparkle Plenty" this year, went to Europe and played throughout London, drove cross-country and moved to New Jersey..... this is crazy! I never would have imagined my life turning out this way. I'm certainly not complaining because it has been better and stranger and harder and more rewarding and wonderful than any kid can imagine when we daydream about 'growing up'...... but it is just so....weird. Life is so so weird. Getting older is really weird. Being a person is really weird. New Jersey is really weird..... maybe its just me. I am happy. I am marveling at life. Where it has taken me and god only knows where I'm going. A lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

I think the big picture is important. Our government, our leaders, our president, our vote. It is our way of trying to build a community in which 301,139,947 people (and counting) can function together, live together, work together, and be well together. It will never be perfect. It will never make everyone happy. Our government is made of people like you and me, susceptible to all the pitfalls of human nature. So whoever wins tomorrow, let us take it as an opportunity to come together, one by one and make our own ideals a reality. Use your power as a consumer and make a statement each time you spend your hard earned money. Be kind to one another and help those in need. Or don't. But be the person you want to see reflected in the bigger picture..... I guess what I'm saying is that I'm starting with the woman in the mirror.
