Ok so everyone knows that Jersey is crazy about Bruce Springsteen, right? Believe me when I tell you that crazy is not the word. Think more. Think Obsessive. Think Worshipful (is that a word?). Think about the proudest parent you know whose child can do no wrong, with all the adoration in the world in their eyes.... and multiply that by 8,724,560. OK, who doesn't like Bruce Springsteen? Everybody likes something about him, whether it's his anthemic "Born to Run" or his seductively lonesome "I'm on Fire" or his red-blooded-every-man's-hard-working-butt on the cover of "Born in The U.S.A." ..... but through much of the lauding and applauding, I have wondered what the big f-ing jersey deal is..... I am listening to a song that's new to me.... I am listening to him pour out his heart and soul and insides and all in the second verse of a song with 3 chords....oooohhh fire..... and maybe this is a glimpse into why. He is singing directly to me about his music " You say you don't like it, But girl, I know you're a liar"........oooh Fire!

Well, here goes my first New Jersey rant. I would like to know WHO the MISANTHROPE is that invented the driving "circle"..... for those of us who might have been raised in a decent place that tries not to have its citizens killed, you might not know what I'm talking about. So picture this- you are driving along at a normal highway pace when all of a sudden you get the (dreaded) YIELD sign and you find yourself waiting on the outer edges of this huge circular road in which cars are entering and exiting from all directions.... I mean, you can only go one way within the circle, but people are entering and leaving at like a million points on the circle. Have you ever had to jump on a moving merry-go-round? Its kind of like that. you have to find an open spot and gun it and then try to get over to where you need to be without killing someone or yourself. It is the absolute dumbest thing ever invented. Dumber than the pet rock. Dumber than the chia pet. Dumber than pantyhose......ok, Circles are the second dumbest thing ever invented. ARGH!
